1. Why do you do this?
   
   

   Call me a vigilante, but those fics are against Fanfiction.net's rules, and therefore, they shouldn't be on the site anyways. In the long run, I hope to make a dent in the fandom so that the other authors get the hint.
   
   

2. Why do you record everything?
   
   

   For future reference and quite possibly the amusement of others.
   
   

3. Why are you listing your contact information?
   
   

   I don't believe in being cowardly, and besides, it's amusing to see authors hopping in rage. Masochistic? Quite possibly.
   
   

4. Why do you have to give direct links to the author's penname? Can't you hide them, at least?
   
   

   Complete disclosure. Some people will want to know who the heck I'm talking about.
   
   

5. How do you find all these fics?
   
   

   I start with one fanfiction. From there, I report it, then look at the author's profile page. If they have more of the same type of fic, I report those, then move on to their favorites list. From there, I repeat the cycle.
   
   

6. How long does it usually take FF.net to respond to abuse reports?
   
   

   Two to three hours is generous enough.
   
   

7. Do you target anyone specifically?
   
   

   No. I have no idea who I started with, but from there I went to their favorites, reported all those fics, and it's all downhill from there. x)
   
   

8. Do you report fics that aren't interactive/YOU-fics/CYOA's?
   
   

   Yes: Lemons, script-fics, and those with total disregard for proper English.
   
   

9. Lemons?!
   
   

   I only target lemons that are on others' faves and don't look to be that great.
   
   

10. Is there a way to hide/protect my fics from people like you?
    
    

    Three things you can do: 1.) don't post them; 2.) if you want to post them, do so at Mediaminer.org instead; and/or 3.) keep other fics like yours off your favorites list.
    
    

11. But 'YOU' fics are allowed!

    July 27th -- FanFiction.Net Content Guidelines have been updated to reduce the apparent confusion of two rules:
    
    1. Chat and script format are the same. We have not allowed chat/script format for years.
       
    2. Choose your adventure and second person/you based are interactive entries. We do not accept interactive stories.
    
    
    
12. What if the fics were written before this rule was put into action?!
    
    Too bad! They're still breaking the rules. I suggest you go back up your 'YOU' fics.
